Our design capabilities include both hardware and firmware design for any electronic products and devices we manufacture.

Electronic PCB Design
- We offer single-sided to multi-layer board design using Altium CAD tools for PCB and Schematic capture, and have expertise at producing designs for ease of manufacture which enables a more efficient and cost effective result.
- We are particularly proficient at design for use in harsh environments as these applications require specialised techniques, for PCB’s that are required to operate in extreme temperatures or with severe vibration.

Firmware Programming
- If your requirements need the use of a micro-controller or microprocessor, we are able to offer you a complete service by programming the firmware software needed for these devices to control your product.
- We have considerable experience in house and can provide firmware for industrial control, data acquisition, communications such as RF and Bluetooth and many more applications.

Systems Engineering Design
- Our engineering team is happy to provide complete systems design enabling you to obtain the total solution from Masters and Young.
- Our design capabilities include electrical design, electronic hardware and firmware design together with solutions for the housing and fitting of the products into enclosures and cases.
- We look at the overall project and provide solutions that are practical and competitive.
- Our extensive design capabilities have allowed us to provide equipment for explosion monitors in underground coal mines, process control systems for water jet drilling and flight control and logging systems for the Hyshot hypersonic research project.

Procurement
- As part of any design solution we also investigate the price and availability of most components. It is no good developing a new high tech product, if we can’t cost effectively source the parts or they are on very long lead times. We evaluate various options for cost vs delivery.
